I think I ate something like that from a mall foodcourt sushi stand. It had lots of fresh fruit and redbeans, and you mixed it into the ice to form a slush soup. It wasn't very good, but there's nothing like eating a pound of ice to lower your core body temperature.
yup, that's it. it definitely does cool you down, so you often see street vendors selling it. sometimes its a sno-cone, but usually more generically 'shaved ice', you pick the toppings.
