We went to an elephant pen while in Ayuthaya - they had some well trained elephants. They were trained to put hats on people, and to eat fruit they were fed, and to let people walk under them for luck while resisting the urge to leap from their pedestals and squish them like grapes. Although i was really waiting for it to happen (I didn't walk under the elephant).
